For those of you that are interested in trying a variety of different English sparkling wines, we have put together a mixed case of the finest Sussex wine producers so you can truly get a sense of the tastes and flavours of the region’s wines. The mixed case introduces you to wines of different producers, ages,grapes and production methods:

Michael Yeoman, English Wine Box and Sourced Drinks Director, has personally chosen the cases below to offer a variety of English Classics, perfect for every occasion.
Last year was the best harvest in the UK for 25 years and this is reflected with the quality and fruitiness from the vintage.
Plumpton 2018-white and red wines lead the field in terms of quality. This white is a blend including Bacchus, Riesling,Pinot Blanc, Reyner and Ortega which is an accessible, fruity and moreish wine.
We are offering a mixed case of Plumpton wines which gives you a real sense of the quality of last year’s harvest.
In your mixed case: Plumpton 2018 x 2 -White 2018-Fresh taste of peach and pear, with hint of elderflower. For me a subtler version of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! Plumpton Red 2018 - A delicate red with Pinot Noir, with an Italianesc nose and a taste of cherries and strawberry. Plumpton-Rose 2015 - £11 - Using the acalon grape, this wine provides a dry rose with a summery hint of strawberries and raspberries, similar to that from Provence - Perfect for the balmy summer evenings. Plumpton Ortega 2015 - £15 - With rich tropical fruit and a creamy finish-Perfect with spicy foods Plumpton Bacchus 2015 - £15 -The quintessential English white, with a hint of elderflower Total £74 - we offer free local delivery and pick up for this case

Launch of four new wines from Breaky Bottom Vineyard

In June we saw the launch of four new sparkling white wines from my favourite vineyard, Breaky Bottom,starting from £28 a bottle. This is for the same wine that is purchased by the UK Government cellars for the Cuvee Sir Harry Kroto, the 2013 Seyval Blanc and Cuvee Peter Christiansen 2014 Seyval Blanc. Peter has been making wine for over 44 years and this shows in his wine making. We are offering the full range of six different wines from Breaky Bottom from 2014 to 2010 for just £178.

Mixed Malbec Red Selection

Despite being summer, we are still finding our mixed Malbec red collection very popular. We stock an extensive range of wines from across the board including global reds, and now have over 15 different Malbec’s. Our case is a mixture of six quality Malbec which shows the full expression of Malbec wines,from unoaked and fruity, to a more fuller body. A great selection to share with friends, or with food, especially roasted meats.
